🏆 Wolfpack RTC Athletes Compete at 2025 World Team Trials Challenge
The Wolfpack RTC took 3 wrestlers to the 2025 Senior World Team Trials Challenge Tournament in Louisville, Kentucky. Competing against the nation's best, our athletes demonstrated resilience and skill throughout the event.
Ed Scott (74 kg):
Scott opened his tournament with a swift technical fall over Elroy Perkin, securing a 10-0 victory in just 52 seconds. In the quarterfinals, he faced National Champ David Carr, where he was defeated by a 13-3 technical fall. Scott rebounded in the consolation rounds with a 10-2 decision over Michael Caliendo but concluded his run with a narrow 4-1 loss to Quincy Monday in the consolation semifinals.
Jackson Arrington (70 kg):
Arrington faced a challenging bracket, opening against James Green. Despite a valiant effort, he was defeated by a 10-0 technical fall. In the consolation round, Arrington was edged out in a close 4-3 decision by Will Lewan, concluding his tournament run.
Christian Knop (97 kg):
Knop began his tournament with a tough matchup against Justin Rademacher, falling by an 11-0 technical fall. In the consolation bracket, he battled Ethan Laird in a close contest but ultimately dropped a 4-1 decision, ending his run in Louisville.
While they did not advance to Final X, their performances underscore the depth and dedication within our program. The experience gained at this elite level of competition will undoubtedly contribute to their growth and future successes.

While the Pack came up short on the scoreboard, the fight and effort were on full display. National Champion Vince Robinson opened the dual with a gritty performance that went to sudden victory, and big wins from Ryan Jack, Will Denny, Matty Singleton, and Isaac Trumble kept the energy high in Reynolds Coliseum.
Brad Yokum joins Josh Johnson while the team is on the road in California. Brad shares his journey into wrestling, from growing up around the sport to walking on at NC State and earning his spot traveling with the team this season. Brad reflects on the transition from his first year to now, what it’s been like representing the Wolfpack in competition, and how staying consistent and goal-driven has shaped his path.
